Assembly dissolution: Telangana cabinet meeting today afternoon

 The Telangana government likely to announce assembly dissolution in the cabinet meeting at Pragati Bhavan which is being held today afternoon.

Earlier this week, the chief minister has instructed the ministers to be present in the capital for the cabinet meeting where the decision for assembly dissolution will be announced.

The meeting was earlier scheduled today at 6.45 am but later it was postponed to 1.30 pm.

Before the start of the meeting, the JAD officials will accord political agenda copies to the ministers to seek their approval to dissolve the assembly, it is learnt. 

After the meeting at Pragati Bhavan, KCR  heads to Raj Bhavan to submit the resolution recommending assembly dissolution to the governor ESL Narasimhan. Later he drives to Gun park to offer tributes to Telangana martyrs. He then returns to Pragati Bhavan where he addresses a press conference. A notification regarding the dissolution of the assembly will be released around 4 pm.

Interim Government

According to sources, it is learned that the governor might advise the chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to serve as interim chief minister after the release of notification.

Around 119 MLAs loses their membership in the assembly. 

However, there will be no change in the salaries and allowances given to the ministers after the move. This will be continued until the formation of new government.
