TDP fought for North Telangana's interests: Nakka Ananda Babu
Guntur: Andhra Pradesh Minister Nakka Ananda Babu said that Chief Minister Chandrababu and several other TDP leaders, including himself, were subjected to third degree treatment when they went to Maharashtra to oppose the construction of the Bhabhali project. He said that the TDP was then in the Opposition in the undivided AP and was opposing the project as it was detrimental to the interests of the North Telangana. He said the TDP realized that the project could turn the North Telangana into barren land.
He said it was ridiculous on the part of the Opposition to raise this issue eight years after the event. He also slammed BJP Rajya Sabha MP GVL Narasimha Rao for his comments. He asked Pawan Kalyan and Jagan Mohan Reddy to respond on the issue. The minister said the TDP would respond to the summons in deference to the legal procedures and courts of law.
