64,000 Votes Alone Deleted In A Single Assembly Segment ?
In a shocking to all political parties mainly the opposition, nearly 64,000 votes were deleted from voters list in Anantapur Urban Assembly constituency. Serious doubts were raised on the role of government in the deletion of mass number of voters names belonging to a particular community .
YSR Congress Party has come to know that the ruling TDP is on the job to delete the voters who are the supporters and sympathisers of the main opposition party in Andhra. After the deletion, the total number of voters has been reduced to 1.89 lakh from 2.54 lakh who exercised their adult franchise in the last elections.
Leaders worried that TDP must have conspired to remove the huge number of voters supporting YSR Congress in many assembly constituencies to weaken the strong opposition party in the next elections. The party already launched agitation against the deletion of voters and demanded the authorities to restore the names in the list.
