Hyderabad: Depression drives dental student to commit suicide
Depressed over failing to clear few subjects, a dental student committed suicide on late Monday after hanging himself at his residence in Kurmaguda.
According to the police, Mirza Asim Baig (33) was pursuing second-year Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) from Panineeya Institute of Dental Sciences at Dilsukhnagar. Baig was declared as fail in a few subjects on which he was depressed.
A suicide was found in his room stating that the department has failed him in the exam over their personal grudge.
The police also said that some of his personal issues also drove him to end his life. However, the police said they are yet to ascertain the authentic reason for his suicide.
A case was registered by the police and the dead body was sent to OGH for an autopsy.
