JUDA begins strike in SVMC, not attending OP and IP services
Tirupati: The junior doctors association of SV Medical College, Tirupati began flash strike from 8 am on Wednesday demanding the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of CID to produce the accused in the suicide case of PG medical student Dr B Shilpa. They were not attending out patient and in patient services.
The junior doctors held an emergency meeting on Tuesday night and decided to go on strike. They said that even after 42 days since the incident took place the accused were not produced before court and two of them have already obtained anticipatory bail. They suspect that, the main accused in the case Dr PV Ravikumar may also get bail soon if things go on like this.
They demanded the SIT to immediately release the enquiry report and produce the accused in the court. If this is not done in 24 hours, they threatened to boycott even emergency services from Thursday morning. Earlier, the held discussions with the Principal Dr G Ravi Prabhu which went futile.
