DRDO invites Telangana Police to avail their technology
Hyderabad: Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) Chairman and Secretary, Department of Defence Research and Development (DDR & D), Dr G Satheesh Reddy invited the Telangana police to avail the modern technology developed by his organisation which include non-military grade arms and ammunition and cyber solutions to tackle cyber-crimes.
Satheesh Reddy delivered the 22nd Late Prof S Venugopal Rao memorial lecture on ‘Defence Technologies: A Critical Aid for Police Modernisation’ on Saturday at RBVRR TS Police Academy in Himayatsagar. He said that upgrading the police with the latest technology would help for better surveillance and training of the policemen. While giving his presentation on the occasion, he said besides small arms and ammunition, the DRDO has night vision devices. “Almost all the products are developed by DRDO and had made the history in the world and was a huge success of the India,” he said.
“And we are soon going to develop such products and equipment to control cybercrimes. I request police and other forces to come forward and interact with us so that we could develop such equipment to keep our country safe from cybercrimes,” he added.
