State government releases White Paper on educational institutions in AP
Amaravati: In an embarrassing situation to the central government and BJP leaders, the State government released White Paper on establishment of eleven educational institutions assured under AP Reorganization Act, on Friday.
The Minister for HRD Ganta Srinivasa Rao said that the central government and BJP leaders were misleading the public.
Even after completing four years, the central government released only R s746 crore as against to the required Rs 12,446 crore, he said. This was just 5.58 percent of the required funds.
On the other hand, the state government provided 2,912 acres of valuable land and released R s132 crores for land acquisition and construction of compound walls for the 11 educational institutions.
Srinivasa Rao further explained that 5 institutions have been functioning from temporary campuses since 2015-16, 2 institutions have been functioning at temporary campuses from 2016-17 and another two from 2018-19 in temporary campuses. The central government still did not start Tribal University.
