TS govt. strived to elevate socio-economic backward classes: KTR
The government of Telangana has strived to elevate socio-economic backward classes and is making great efforts to reduce the socio-economic inequalities by introducing proactive policies in the state, said IT minister KT Rama Rao while addressing an international seminar here on Monday
KTR has been invited for the seminar on Inclusive Development: Issues and Challenges by the Centre for Economic and Social Studies.
The minister said that to literacy, better lifestyle and life expectancy plays an important role in improving the per capita income adding that Indian was surging ahead.

He further continued that the state government allocated Rs 45,500 crore for social services which amount 43 per cent of the total budget.
Former RBI Governor Dr. Y. V. Reddy, eminent economists Prof. Ch. Hanumanth Rao, Prof. Radhakrishna, Prof. Bagchi & Prof. Schafer at Centre for Economic & Social studies were also present at the seminar.
