Farmers should adopt latest technologies in cultivation- Minister
Kadapa: October 15 While expressing government commitment in encouraging the women in farming sector, marketing minister C.Adinarayana Reddy has said women farmers should adopt latest technologies in the interest of securing rich yielding with less investment in the cultivation.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion Rythu Mahila Dinoswavam 2018 here on Monday he said that comparatively with olden days there was drastic changes occurred in the farming sector as the women should follow such methods by attending training programmes, farmers conventions, securing books from the local agriculture office so as they should have knowledge in various aspects in the modern cultivation.
He said farmers should concentrate on Zero Balance Natural Farming (ZBNF) as the state government is giving top priority to that innovative concept as they can secure qualitative produce with less investment. He said that already women farmers are playing key role in Andhra Pradesh as they are achieving good results equally with men but they should need awareness have good knowledge over day to day changes occurring in the farming sector. On this occasion the minister has witnessed stalls arranged by agriculture , horticulture departments. District collector CH.Harikiran , JC-2 Siva Reddy, Agriculture Joint Director J.Murali Krishna, and others were present.
