BJP demands Rahul’s apology for insulting PV Narasimha Rao

Hyderabad : BJP MP and its national spokesperson G V L Narasimha Rao here on Saturday demanded an apology from AICC President Rahul Gandhi for not paying due respect to the mortal remains of former Prime Minister late P V Narasimha Rao.

 Speaking to the media at the State party office here,  the BJP MP claimed that the mortal remains of Rao were not allowed to  be kept at the  Congress party headquarters for the public to pay homage.  The party leader did so at the behest of Sonia Gandhi though Rao  had served  the Congress party in various capacities and contributed his services to the nation. He was known as father of reforms.  Rahul Gandhi, who is on a visit to the State, should tender an apology to the people  before seeking votes, he demanded. 

Criticising the Congress party for showing disrespect towards Telugu leaders,  the BJP MP alleged that the Congress party had insulted great Telugu leader PV,  and even father of Rahul Gandhi had also insulted a Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh.
