A man set his second on fire on Sunday to stay with his first wife in Bhongir district of Telangana.

Going into details, the accused Mohammed Sukur, an RMP doctor is running a clinic at Kondamallepalli. He got married to a woman belonging to Ramannapeta in 2006.

After some time, Sukur developed an extra-marital relation with a woman called Shamina (32) and later married her in 2017. The duo has a son and a daughter.

On learning about his second marriage, the first wife along with her relatives settled the matter before villagers and they moved to Ramannapet. However, Mohammed would go to his second wife once in a week which fumed her.

Shamina demanded Mohammed to stay with her. Fed up with her harassement, the RMP doctor hatched a plan to get rid of her. On Sunday, he took her to an isolated place and doused her with petrol with setting her on fire.

Hearing the screams, locals rushed to the spot and shifted to Ramannapet hospital from where she was moved to Nalgonda government hospital. She was dead while undergoing treatment.

The police registered a case and launched a hunt to nab the accused who went absconding after the incident.
