Asaduddin Owaisi's defamation hearing postponed to the 12th of December

HYDERABAD: On Monday the Chief city judge of city civil court adjourned the hearing of the Rs 100 crore damage suit which was filed by Nowhera Shaik the managing director of Heera Gold against the MIM supremo Asaduddin Owaisi to the 12th of December. 

On the 29th of September in 2017, Shaik had registered a suit before the chief city judge claiming for the damages against the Majlis-E-Ittehadul-Muslimeen (MIM) Hyderabad MP, as a condition she had also deposited Rs 1 crore fee before the court. Owaisi also filed an interlocutory application against the suit, but the court dismissed the same and directed the parliamentarian to face trial.

On October 14, Central Crime Station sleuths arrested Nowhera Shaikh in a case of cheating investors. and took her to Mumbai for hearing in similar cases. She was granted bail by a sessions court later. “The cases filed against Nowhera Shaikh are nothing but to consolidate this specific defamation case. Her opponents are trying to compel her to withdraw the case, but the law will take its own course,” said  the Supreme Court Counsel for Heera Group, Vineet Dhanda. The matter was then postponed to December 12.
