Kannada movie hero Jaguar Jaggi arrested along with associates for arms racket.

BENGALURU: In east Bengaluru, a film hero from Sandalwood and his associate were arrested while they were delivering a consignment to the side of a financer, which was comprised of one 7.65mm country-made pistol and 10 rounds of live bullets. 

The financier, has been accused in a currency conversion racket, and his associate have also been taken into custody.

Jagadish S Hosamath alias Jaguar Jaggi, 31, hero of a Kannada movie, ironically titled 'Sarkar: The Bullet', which was released in the month of March, he claimed to be innocent and was only delivering a packet, as one of his friend had requested him to do so, whose contents he did not know. 

Police later found another 7.65 mm pistol and 11 rounds of live bullets from the accused, a resident of Ganesh Peth in Hubballi. The three others arrested who have been arrested in the case are Jaggi's friend, Mohammed Nizam, 25, of HAL; Syed Sameer, 32, a financier from K Narayanapura and his associate BG Satish Kumar, 44, of New Thippasandra.

Kothanur police had seized Rs 1.98 crore of demonetized currency from the flat of Syed Sameer, a resident of K Narayanapura. Syed had obtained anticipatory bail in the case. Police said Syed had collected demonetized currency of over Rs 3.5 crore from various business men with promise of replacing them with new notes. 

When the businessmen began to demand, he returned their money and threatened him with dire consequences, Syed for his personal safety procured pistols and approached his contacts for the same.

Nizam and Jaggi were arrested on October 23 from HAL area while they were waiting for Satish to deliver a pistol. 

As per the information that has been provided by them, police picked up Syed and Sathish and recovered one more pistol from them. The accused are in judicial custody.
