Chief Secretary visits Nehru Zoological Park

Hyderabad: Chief Secretary of Telangana State Shailendra Kumar Joshi, along with other senior officials, visited the Nehru Zoological Park here on Tuesday.
 
During the visit the Chief Secretary reviewed the working of the Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad, and also flagged off five (10 seater) and one (14 seater) newly procured battery operated vehicles for the public. With this, the number of battery operated vehicles has gone upto 49. The Chief Secretary flagged off these vehicles with the children of Govt. Primary School, Tadban for a round of the zoo.
 
On public demand, the Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad, has also introduced a newly procured (20 seater) air conditioned van for the safari rides. Sri. S.K. Joshi, I.A.S., Chief Secretary, Govt. of Telangana, flagged off the vehicle at safari park entrance, and also took a ride of safari park along with the officers. the visitors can now enjoy their safari park ride without any sweat and heat waves. He appreciated the maintenance and the upkeep of the park. During his ride he said that he visited Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad, when he was a I.A.S., probationary officer. Since then, a lot of improvement in the facilities has been provided for the visitors.
 
The Chief Secretary also inaugurated the newly constructed booking counter for toy train at the toy train railway station at Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad. He also visited the Mouse Deer breeding facility at the zoo and appreciated the efforts of the officers in conserving this species.
 
Speaking on the occasion with the Senior Forest and Zoo officials, the C.S., said that a lot of changes and improvements had occurred as per the requirements of the visitors. The zoo management is in forefront by putting all their efforts to achieve one of the best ranked zoo’s in the world in the field of conservation breeding of wild animals and education activities.  
 
Special Chief Secretary (EFS&T), Prl Chief Conservator of Forests P. Raghuveer and other senior officials were also present.
