Government's failure to pay dues to affect thousands of Arogyasri beneficiaries
HYDERABAD: Around 220 hospitals under the Telangana Network Hospitals Association have decided to boycott Arogyasri scheme starting Tuesday.
T Hari Prasad - state secretary of the organisation alleged that 3-4 hospitals have been shut down and 10 more are on the verge, since the Government hasn't paid dues going up to 1000-1200 crore rupees.
He said the hospitals aren't able to provide basic services because of lack of funds which is why they have taken the boycott route.
The state health department has received the memorandum from the association and have maintained that the dues are way lesser than what have been projected.
An official stated many patients availing the inpatient, outpatient and surgery services would be affected by this move.
