ATM card skimming, cloning racket busted in Hyderabad, 3 held

Three persons were arrested by the cyber crime police for stealing atm card details through skimming and withdrawing the money by making cloning cards here in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

Based on the complaint filed by a victim from whom the accused withdrew the money by cloning card, the card skimming fraud came to light.

Sumith Jingran, an MBA graduate along with his two friends defrauded the customers visiting the restaurants. They would steal the details when the customer pays the bill through ATM card.

The accused would then get the card details to clone and send the cloned data to Kevin Jerry D'souza of Mumbai and Gaurav based in Delhi. These two would withdraw the money by using cloned data and get a 15 per cent share from it. 

The accused made money of Rs 50 lakh by defrauding the people from various states. The police arrested Jingran, Gaurav Varma and Sachin Kumar in Punjab and brought them to Hyderabad on a transit warrant.
