3750 'Human Computers' to be live in action at HICC on Nov 25
Hyderabad : Are they kids or Computers? This is the doubt everyone gets, when you get to watch them solving 125 mathematical sums JUST IN FIVE MINUTES. This is not a joke. This is not a fantasy. This is real.
Meet 3750 Prodigy kids, all in the age group of 4 to 14years, coming together from across India from 22 states. They will compete with each other at the SIP Academy National Prodigy Competition 2018.
While 3750 kids solve mathematical sums faster than calculators and at jet speed competing with computing skills of the computers, their 3000 parents and another 1000 people from organisers side will watch them. It will be real spectacle to watch. HICC, Madhapur, Hyderabad will be the venue for such a rare competition on this Sunday, 25th November, informed Uma Swaminathan - State Head of SIP Academy for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh state.
According to her, the competition will have two rounds. The first round with Telangana and Andhra Pradesh students will be held at 9am. That will also mark the inauguration of the competition. Prof. Ramesh Loganathan, Professor of IIIT and Former Chairman of HYSEA will be the Chief Guest. The second round will be held for the rest and it will be held 11.30am. Dr. Pradeep Kumar , Registrar , IIIT will be the Chief Guest.
"We have been organising International, National, & Regional Competition every year since 2004 for developing competitive spirit & confidence among the children. We have done over a 150 such competitions with our largest event being mentioned the LIMCA book of record with 4704 children under one roof," informed Uma.
