Action would be initiated against error officials- AP state food commission chairman
State food commission chairman Pushpa raj has said stringent action would be initiated against those who responsible for irregularities in public distribution system. As part of his 3 day tour in the district Pushpa raj addressed press conference here on Friday.
He said during his inspections in welfare hostels, Anganwadi centers, high schools, fair price shops, there was large scale of irregularities taken place everywhere in the district. The food commission chairman pointed out in most of Anganwadi centers, welfare hostels, schools, he found attendance is more witnessing in the records than original students number.
He said that he ordered the higher officials to initiate action against error officials. He said that most of social welfare hostels in the district lacking behind the facilities especially this kind of situation witnessing in girls hostels as he directed the administration to initiate steps in set righting the situation.
While narrating the steps being initiated by the government in restricting the PDS rice to black market, he said that in the earlier cases were booked against only ration shop dealer, as per the latest rules action would be initiated against card holder, rice mill owner, and whole sale dealer there are number of cases booked in that manner.
