No Truck with BJP, says Srikanth Reddy
The YSRCP has categorically said that it will never align with the BJP as it a communal and divisive party. Coming down heavily against the BJP, YSRCP MLA from Rayachoti, Gadikota Srikanth Reddy said the BJP was a communal party and added that flush with an absolute majority, Modi is running the contry with his questionable policies. He said YSRCP, which is nurtured in the secular ethos of late Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy will never join hands with the BJP.
He said the BJP was contemplating of bringing an ordinance for the construction of Ram temple at Ayodhya. He said his party would oppose this move in every village and stage protests everywhere. This move will hit the image of India as a secular country. He said that YSR has taught them secularism and unity and the BJP is bent on damaging both the core values. Hence, there can never be an alliance with the BJP, he said. He said the YSRCP views and values the Gita, Bible and Quran equally.
The YSRCP also noted with concern the state support extended to the VHP-sponsored meeting on Ram Temple in Ayodhya. This is uncalled for. How can a state government sponsor and support such move, he sought to know. He said the YSRCP was all for secularism and equality of all.
