Work on whitetopping for RV Road stretch to commence on 1st December
BENGALURU: The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike has advised the commuters to take alternative routes for avoiding traffic jams, around the RV Road stretch from Shivashankar Circle at Lalbagh West gate to Banashankari. As the work on whitetopping (relaying with concrete) for the roads to is all set to begin from the 1st of December.
The work is said to take up on the full width of one side of the Metro median, and it will be restricted from one junction to the next. Work will be starting from the South End Circle side then move towards the Lalbagh West gate, the officials added.
Whitetopping on the Hosur Road stretch, from St John’s junction to Anepalya junction is also said to begin. Only half of the carriageway shall be busy for work, leaving the other open for traffic. But it is still not clarified when the Hosur Road work will begin.
“We have given permission to BBMP for whitetopping work. As for alternative roads, we are discussing with jurisdictional traffic officers,” P Harishekaran additional commissioner (traffic) told a source.
