Telangana assembly elections 2018: Over Rs 100 cr seized so far

 Over Rs 100 crore seized by the police so far in the state ahead of the assembly polls in the Telangana. With the approaching polling date, the election commission intensified the searches in the state. Of the seized money, Rs 75 cr was caught by the police, Rs 25 seized during vehicle check and Rs 9 crore worth liquor.

Apart from restricting the liquor flow in the state on polling day, the EC deployed 50,000 state policemen, 25,000 central security force and 50,000 from Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh to ensure smooth conduct of polls. The EC has arranged 32,724 polling centres with CCTV footages installed.
