Telangana Assembly Elections 2018 : To keep up the Grand promises, TDP will need 1 lakh Crore over the existing Budget outlay

  Hyderabad: Telugu Desam Party made grand promises in their Manifesto during the on going elections which would require a Minimum sum of Rs 1 lakh crore over and above the existing budget outlay. A major chunk of these funds would have to be channeled towards farm loan waivers promised by the party.

The estimated loan requirement for 2018-19 is around Rs 50,000 crores which includes Rs 30,000 crores for Kharif crops and Rs 19,000crores for the Rabi season. 

According to the survey undertaken by the state agriculture department there are about 54.5 lakh farmers with ab average of 2.5 acres. In addition to this state government will need Rs 10,000 crore more additional outlay in the budget for the promise made to allot Rs 500 crore each for education and health. 

TDP also promised that they will create a fund of Rs 10,000 for minimum support price (MSP). The promises made to aid unmarried girls, get students and self help groups would require another Rs 50,000, says financial experts.
