Avinash Mohanthy took charge as Vikarabad SP in the latenight on Wednesday, held review meeting

Avinash Mohanthy took charge as new SP of Vikarabad. Since the election commission gave orders to take him charge as SP of Vikarabad before 2pm on Wednesday, he was rushed to Vikarabad from Delhi.

He reached Hyderabad in the latenight on Wednesday and directly went to Vikarabad from Shamshabad Airport.

He conducted a review meeting in the latenight with the district police officials and reviewed the latest situation pertaining to Kodangal Assembly elections and the security measures taken.

He gave instructions to the police officials to conduct elections peacefully inthe district including Kodangal without any untoward incidents.

Avinash Mohanthy earlier worked as a DCP in Detective Department, on the orders of election commission took charge as SP Vikarabad from earlier SP T Annapurna who was removed from the position due to the preventive arrest of Congress leader A Revanth Reddy which causes tension in Kodangal.

She asked to report to DGP headquarters and EC ordered police department not to utilise her services in the present elections.
