TRS will win over 100 seats: KTR

Update: 2018-12-09 01:45 IST

Hyderabad: Caretaker Minister K. Tarakarama Rao claimed that the TRS would win more than 100 seats in the Telangana Assembly elections.

Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan on Saturday, KTR said people have voted for TRS with lot of enthusiasm and he thanked them for the same. He claimed that the voting was one-sided in favour of TRS. He said as per the reports received from party cadre, TRS candidates would get maximum vote share in majority of seats. He said that the tremendous response displayed by the people shows that they were supporting the development agenda of TRS.

KTR said that the opposition parties were unitedly targeting the TRS with baseless allegations for the last three months. He said several conspiracies were hatched against the TRS by the Congress-led alliance. However, he said that the people rejected the alliances and supported TRS. He advised party workers to be alert and begin celebrations only after the counting of last vote.

He said that the Congress-led alliance was extreme weak and none of its leaders had a State appeal. He said even the aspirants of Chief Minister's post in Congress party were so weak that they could not come out of their constituencies to campaign for the party. He said participation of TDP president Chandrababu Naidu in the campaign caused huge damage to the opposition's alliance. For the same reason, he said Naidu's picture was removed from the advertisements published just two days before the elections.

KTR said while all national news channels were predicting a landslide victory of TRS, ex-MP Lagadapati Rajagopal has come up with a fake survey predicting Congress victory. He said the way Rajagopal took political sanyas after formation of Telangana, he would take sanyas from political survey after declaration of results on December 11.

He also dismissed apprehensions over tampering of EVMs kept at strong rooms.
