Krishna District Safe From Cyclone Phethai

 Barring a few mandals,Krishna district in Andhra Pradesh will not affect badly by the cyclone Phethai under which five coastal Andhra districts will receive very heavy rains in the next 24 hours.  

The district Collector Laxmikantham said that official teams have been deployed to 181 villages in four coastal mandals of  the district to monitor the safety of people . 

Indian Meteorological Department officials said that the Krishna will receive only light to moderate rains . The officials also said that crops will not damage as  the standing crops were already cut and stored in safe places.
