Rain inundated agriculture fields in Tenali division

  •  Chilli, cotton gardens damaged in Palandu region 
  •  Farmers are getting tears, worrying about crop loss 

Guntur :Rain caused by strong gales inundated agriculture fields in thousands in Guntur district. Paddy fields in Tenali revenue division worst hit,chilli, cotton and horticulture crops Guntur,Narasaraopet and Gurazala revenue divisions. If the same situaton will continue, the paddy crop will damage. The farmers are getting tears to see their inundated agriculture fields.Paddy is being cultivated over 6.5 lakh acres of Krishna Western Delta Region of Guntur district during kharif. Harvesting completed in the 50% of the paddy fields. 

Farmers trashed  their paddy plantations and kept in the agriculture fields for drying up are under the sheet of water in Repalle, Nizampatnam, Bapatla, Aduvuladeevi,Nagaram, Bhattiproblu, Kolluru and Kollipara mandals of Tenali revenue division in the district Some farmers are shifting their trashed paddy plantatons and kept in the agriculture fields for drying up shifting to the safer places to save their crops. 
Similarly, Chillis and cotton gardens tilted in Palndu region of Guntur district.When the chilli and cotton fields ready for cutting, the farmers are getting tears. 

The agriculture department informed that rain inundated agriculture fields in Tenali revenue division of Guntur district. If rain will continue farmers will get loss. Similarly, the rain will damage cotton and chilli gardens in Palnadu region.

The revenue and agriculture teams are assessing the crop damage caused by the cyclone Phethai and conducting enumeration . 

District revenue officer Sri Latha said " . Paddy fields inundated in Tenali revenue division of Guntur district. I have to get details of crop loss, if any. "
