11 Members of a family threaten to commit suicide, land at MG Statue

BENGALURU: Eleven members of a family and their supporters landed at MG Statue on MG Road on Thursday. The protestos threatened to commit suicide in a desperate bid to pressure police to act against a rival family in Tayappanadoddi village, in Bangalore.
They alleged that they had been attached over a property dispute. Police banned the family from protesting on MG Road and dispersed them.
Police said 11 persons, including few women from village, gathered near statue at 2:30 PM on Thursday. They flaunted bottles filled with petrol. Police rushed to the spot and spoke to the protestors. They informed police that they had attacked them on December 16 and preventing them from entering a village.
