Alliance with TDP made Congress to lose polls: MLC Santosh Kumar

Hyderabad: Alleging that there was crisis of leadership in Congress, MLC Santosh Kumar on Friday said that the party had to lose election because of alliance with Telugu Desam.

Santosh Kumar said that they were not consulted before having an alliance with TDP and this had hampered the chances of Congress party. There is crisis of leadership in Congress hence they have decided to merge with TRS.

MLC M S Prabhakar said that they have come forward to merge as they have two-third strength. Two-third members can take a decision as per the Constitution hence they have taken a decision to merge, said Prabhakar adding the Chairman has assured to take a decision after looking into rule position.

MLC A Lalitha said that people were with TRS hence they have decided to join TRS. ''We believe that chief minister would give us respect,'' said Lalitha. She said that they would work for the victory of TRS in local body and Lok Sabha elections.
