Vishakapatnam city police arrested four urban Maoists from city

Vishakapatnam Police arrested three urban Maoists from Moulali  on Saturday under the limits of Malkajgiri police station limits. But the information about their arrest lately communicated after three days when their parents raised allegations on police.

The three arrested Maoists were Aathmakuru Bhavani (24), Aathmakuru Annapurna (33) and Aathmakuru Anusha (38). The three sisters were working in Amarula Bandhu mitrula sangham and Chaitanya Mahila Sangham.

Local police had also taken another Maoist  Korra Kameshwara Rao (23) and interrogating them. The arrests were made on the information revealed by the Nakka Venkat Rao, a NGRI employee in Hyderabad whom police arrested recently by Chattisgarh police.

Police were not giving clarity on the arrests and which wing of the police has taken them into custody. Meanwhile the parents of the arrested Maoists and Telangana Praja Front and other civil liberties organisations were preparing themselves to intensify their agitations over the arrests police leaked the information on their arrests on Tuesday.
