BENGALURU: On Wednesday HM Revanna the Congress leader and former minister had expressed his keenness to contest from the Bangalore North constituency which the former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda has already targeted. “I would like to contest from Bengaluru North and I’ve already started meeting people there. I’m in talks with my party leaders,” Revanna said.

Expressing the confidence that he has got a chance to win as the Congress represents five out of eight assembly segments in the constituency he said that, “I had sacrificed Hebbal and Magadi seats to others following instructions by the high command.”

Revanna had already represented the Magadi and Hebbal in 2008 and has unsuccessfully contested from Channapatna in the 2018 assembly polls.

When asked him what would be his stand if the party denies him the ticket, Revanna said, “Talks over seat-sharing are yet to begin. Let’s see what happens,” he added.

The seat is currently being represented by DV Sadananda Gowda the Union minister.
