Vigilance and Enforcement officials seized 600 bags of spurious potash in Guntur district

Vigilance and Enforcement officials raided the at a fertilizer dealer shop M./S.Sri Lakshmi Fertilizer sops at Ipuru village under Muppalla mandal of Guntur district on Monday and seized 600 bags of spurious potash.Value of stock they seized is Rs.4.2-lakh in the market.

According to V.E. officials,  unscrupulous persons, and firms behind this scandal are M/S.Venkata Subrahmaneswara Fertilizers and M./S.Venkata Raghavendra Fertilizers of Tripurantakam village of Prakasam district.They have supplied stocks to Prakasam and Guntur districts. Narasaopet dealers who purchased from Tripurantakam dealers are Vasavi Fertilizers, Vijaya Traders, Chandra Fertilizers, Mahalakshmi Fertilizers. This is racket spread all over  the A.P. 

The V.E. officials suspect that spurious potash stock source may be at Mysore. The traders have sold duplicate potash bag at Rs. 700, the V.E. officials found in the inquiry. The turn of the spurious potash is in the several crores of rupees. 

The fish farmers who used duplicate potash in the their agriculture fields, fishes died in the ponds. The V.E. officials suspect salt colours, waste in the fertilizers godowns are using to make duplicate  potash.
