One more chain snatching occurred in Ghatkesar PS limits under Rachakonda

Rachakonda: One more chain snatching incident occurred in Ghatkesar police station limits of Rachakonda Commissionerate. According to police, two unidentified assailants entered into a house at Dattatreya Nagar in NFC Nagar  in the night hours on Thursday. As soon as the two accused entered the house, they tied the hands of the victim Sudha with saree and by threatening her snatched 4 tulas gold chain from her neck. After searching the entire house for cash and gold ornaments they absconded from the spot.

After getting the complaint from the victim, police by filing a case are verifying CCTV footage to identify the accused. In view of Sankranti festival, police by keeping the earlier offences during the festive season in view alerted the public to take precautionary measures. Recently police nabbed the three chain snatchers who created panic among public by doing serial chain snatchings in Rachakonda limits. With their arrest  Police suspected that there will be a reduction of chain snatching incidents for some time but everytime new offenders are coming out and  committing chain snatchings by targetting the lonely women and posing a new challenge to them.
