Eradication of poverty is only with TDP - Marketing minister

Kadapa: Following directions of the state government the district administration has performed Sankranthi sambaralu in a grand scale across the district on Saturday. Marketing minister C.Adinarayana Reddy participated as chief guest in the cultural programmes organized at Nakenam Kalakshetram in the city on Saturday evening. Speaking the occasion he said that the aim of the government in performing the event is to highlight importance of the Sankranthi so as people of the state should celebrate Sankranthi in a happy mood.

He said in view poor people to celebrate the festival in a grand scale, government is distributing Chandranna Sankranthi kanuka at free of cost for the last four years. He said eradication of poverty is the only possible with the TDP government as it has been initiating several welfare schemes in the interest of poor and down trodden communities in the state.He said in view of extending financial  support to the elderly, and differently able  government has hiked pensions Rs 1000 to Rs 2,000 as about 96,000 people in the district.

District Collector CH.Harikiran has said that following directions of the state government district administration is performing Sankranthi Sambaralu in a grand scale.  He said as part of this initiative several rural sports and game are being organized during the event. Earlier Collector has inaugurated the rural sports in the Municipal play ground in the city. Joint Collector Koteswara Rao, JC-2 Siva Reddy and others were present.
