SC collegium transfers Telangana chief justice Radhakrishnan
Less than two weeks after being appointed as chief justice of Telangana High Court, the Supreme Court collegium has recommended the name of Justice TB Radhakrishnan for the chief justice of Kolkata High Court and the orders have been issued pertaining to the move.
Justice Radhakrishnan who served as the chief justice for the combined High Court of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh was appointed as chief justice of Telangana after the court bifurcation.
However, the collegium made it clear that there is no prominence in the transfer of Radhakrishnan. It is believed that Radhakrishnan has been appointed as chief justice of Kolkata High Court which had fallen vacant with the retirement of justice DK Gupta.
Meanwhile, no decision has been taken on the appointment of chief justice of Telangana High Court.
