Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji's 352nd birthday celebrations today

Hyderabad: The most important and major festival of the Sikh Community across the world, the birthday celebrations of Sri Guru Gobind Singh JI, the 10th and last Sikh Guru and founder of Khalsa Panth will be celebrated on a grand scale on January 13.

In this connection, Prabhandak Committee of Central Gurdwara Saheb Gowliguda, a grand 'Vishaal Deewan' (Mass Congregation) will be held at HMDA Grounds, besides Imax Theater, near NTR Gardens, NTR Marg from 11 am to 4 pm on January 13 where over 25,000 to 30,000 Sikh devotees and other community faiths will converge at the programme.

The event will be marked by recitations of Gurbani Keertans (Holy Hymns) by the reputed Ragi Jathas (religious preachers) who are being especially  invited from various parts of the country to render shabad keertans.

Bhai Onkar Singhji (Una Sahib, Punjab), Bhai Ravinder Singhji (Delhi), Bhai Hari Singhji, Gyani Harnik Singh Bhai Jagbeer Singhji and other reputed Ragi Jathas will recite shabad keertans and Kathas and throw light on the teachings of Sikh Gurus.
 
After the culmination of the congregation Guru Ka Langar (free community  kitchen) will be served to the devotees irrespective of caste or creed who sit together in a row and consume food.
