Polling begins for first phase of gram Panchayat elections in Telangana

 The polling began for the first phase of Gram Panchayat elections in Telangana at 7 am today and conclude around 1 pm.

In the first phase, the elections are being held for 3,701 Panchayats and 28,976 wards. Heavy bandobast has been imposed with around 26,000 policemen across the polling centres.

The vote counting will begin at 2 pm and the results may be declared by today evening.
