First In History Of The Sewerage Board FIR registered for stealing water against TRS activist

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Metropolitian Water supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) filed a FIR against a TRS party activist for multiple illegal connections.

The Vigilance sleuths registered a FIR case and slapped four cases against Ch Amarender, a first in history of the board.

As per the sources it was found that the consumer Ch Amarender located at Panduranga Nagar, in Attapur of Rajendranagar ( H.NO: 4-7-155/41/2) Was directly drawing from water board's main pipe line, illegaly. Chief Vigilance officer, HMWS&SB M Ravi Chandra Reddy said.

After verification of the records with HMWS&SB it was found out that there was no permission sanctioned for water connection to this premises said Reddy (Vigiliance officer).

The FIR has been registered under four sections, including 269 ( negligent act likely to spread infection of disease), 430 ( mischief by injury to works of irrigation or by wrongfully diverting water) , 379 (punishment for theft), of the Indian penal code( IPC) and section 3 ( Miscief and causing damage to public property) of the prevention of damage to Public Property Act, 1984, with Rajendranagar Police, he said.
