Drunk man kills pregnant wife in Hyderabad

A man in an inebriated state killed his 4-month-pregnant wife here at Maredpally police station limits. The incident which occurred Monday came to light with the arrest of the accused Sunny Bidlan (30).

Sunny had married his girlfriend Satyavati (27) in a temple in Mahendra hills on February 28 last year. The couple was residing at Valmikinagar in West Maredpally.

While Sunny works in a grocery shop, Satyavati began working as a maid. On Monday, the accused who came home in a drunken state demanded his wife to give money for alcohol. When she refused, Sunny strangled her to death. 

The accused then posted the matter to his father Surendar who told Satyavati's father Ramulu. Based on the complaint lodged by Ramulu, the police registered a case and arrested the accused.
