Tension created in Keesara PS limits over demolition of Ambedkar statue

Tension created at Rampally village in Keesara mandal under Medchal district on Sunday, when a retired employee demolished the statue of Baba Saheb Ambedkar. The accused identified as Chandiya.

According to Keesara police, the accused Chandiya is mentally unstable and he has demolished the statue. In the protest of statue demolition large number of members of  Dalit organisations staged protest on the road due to which tension created in the area for hours. 

Police rushed to the spot and took the accused into their custody and brought the situation under control. Police are investigating.
