Unseasonal rain inundate roads in Hyderabad
Unseasonal rain inundated roads in Hyderabad on Saturday causing traffic snarls in the city. Several areas have been waterlogged with the rains occurred in many parts of the city. Quthbullapur in Medchal district has received highest rainfall at 8.8 mm while Amberpet recorded least at 0.5mm.
Kukatpally and Maitrivanam have recorded 4.5mm and 5.5 mm rainfall respectively. The cause of the sudden rain was due to the upper air circulation over east Vidarbha region in Maharashtra. "A trough is also formed across between Vidharba and Karnataka covering entire Telangana which caused light to moderate rainfall in the state," said IMD director YK Reddy.
However, districts like Peddapalli, Adilabad, Jagitial, Rangampalli and Sirikonda witness rainfall from 56.3 mm to 29 mm.
