3 golden crowns go missing from Govindaraja Swamy temple in Tirupati

  Three golden crowns went missing from Govindaraja Swamy temple on Saturday evening. The temple priests noticed diamond studded golden crowns went missing around 5.45 pm when they opened the temple to perform rituals. It is learned that the temple was closed for devotees around 5 pm.

Based on the CCTV footages, the police are probing into the matter.  The theft in the left the officials in shock and an immediate probe has been ordered. A report has been sought from Assistant Chief Vigilance and Security Officer on the theft. 

Temple staff has been sent for questioning by the vigilance officials.
