Training programme held for Civil Supplies officers

Hyderabad: Civil Supplies Department organized training program to its officers for preparing action plan for the next year particularly on paddy procurement. 

On Monday, one day training program was organized at MCRHRD for officers from Head Office, DCSOs, ACSOs, District Managers and Assistant Managers. Commissioner for Civil Supplies Department Akun Sabharwal started the training program. 

The Commissioner said that this training program is organized to motivate Department officers and employees to complete the targets within the stipulated time by reviewing  their performances. 

With Telangana governments new irrigation projects, new farmer welfare schemes like Raitu Bandhu, Raitu Bima, 24 hours current supply etc., paddy yield has increasing every year. Keeping this in view Civil Supplies Department have to purchase high yield of paddy in coming Rabi and Khariff seasons. Employees from now onwards should make plan of action for the ground work preparation. 

In the previous year Kharif and Rabi seasons total 54 Lakh Metric Tons of paddy was purchased by Civil Supplies Corporation, where as this year Kharif season only it purchased record amount of 40 Lakh Metric Tons of paddy. 

The Civil Supplies Corporation is making future plans to make sure farmer gets Minimum Support Price for his paddy. For this a Business Wing will be established to explore the possibilities of paddy purchase from farmers and send to other states and countries. 

To prevent irregularities in public distribution system and to provide essential commodities to eligible beneficiaries several IT projects have been implemented and it will be further strengthening and expanding. 

Rice procurement, custom milling rice, quality check of rice at godowns, gunny bags usage in grain procurement, PDS rice transportation, distribution, other financial items, intelligence vigilance division, introducing new technologies, OPMS for payments to farmers related subjects were taken up in the training program.
