Kalingandhra festivals inaugurated at Srikakulam
-To reflect culture of Kalingandhra region
SRIKAKULAM: Three day long Kalingandhra festivals inaugurated by district collector, K.Dhanunjaya Reddy on a grand note on Friday at Srikakulam. The festivals will be concluded on Sunday. With an aim to explain history of Kalingandhra to future generations the festival planned and Kalingandhra area had a rich cultural history.
Speaking on the occasion collector explained that most the youth have no idea on history of Kalingandhra and its rich culture with an aim to memorise once we have planned to conduct the festival for three days. Photo exhibition arranged in a chronological order to explain improvement of Kalingandhra area in all aspects and public thronged to witness the exhibition and to know the historical events chronologically.
To explain previous events cultural programmes also arranged by various teams across the state. It is a novel activity to memorise history and culture of our previous generations and people need to know and received the positive information from these festivals suggested ITDA PO, Lotheti Shiva Sankar explained.
