Cinema ticket price come down to Rs 138 after GST team swung into action

Cheers to the movie buffs as cinema ticket prices have been reduced by Rs 12 on normal fare i.e, the ticket price has been cut from Rs 150 to Rs 138. And the gold tickets have come down to Rs 230 from Rs 250.

All the multiplexes in the city have slashed the prices after a warning by the GST wing of Hyderabad.

The GST was reduced to 12 per cent from 18 per cent when the ticket price was above Rs 100 and the reduced tax is to be benefitted to the moviegoers, said a senior official adding that the ticket prices were to take effect from January 1.
