Gang of seven held for rice pulling in Hyderabad

 The city police have taken seven people into custody for allegedly duping a businessman of Rs 41 crore by selling him a metal device which is claimed to have magnetic properties. Commonly called as rice pulling scam, the fraudsters told the businessman that the will attract all the objects including rice grains and also extract precious metals from the earth.

Of the seven-member gang, Moksha Raju is said to be the prime accused in the scam against whom the cases were registered in Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Karnataka. The police have seized Rs 12 lakh worth gold and Rs 7 lakh cash.
