Amaravati, a centre of energy for AP and India: PM Modi
After laying a foundation stone for Krishnapatnam Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) coastal terminal project in Guntur, prime minister Narendra Modi began his speech in Telugu. Greeting the people for emerging number one in all the sectors, Modi hailed Tikkana, Gurram Jashwa, Vavilala Gopalakrishnaiah and Nayudamma who emerged as great personalities from Guntur.
Extending greetings to the new voters in the state, PM Modi said that Amaravati is recognised as a heritage city and is being developed by the centre and it will be turned as an energy centre for AP and India. He also said that projects inaugurated in the state are not only important to AP but also for the whole nation. "Government is constructing oil refineries in different locations which will fulfil needs for a month's times in case of emergency," said Modi.
Terming Amaravati as an Oxford of Andhra Pradesh, the prime minister said that many youngsters come to the city to fulfil their dreams.
