Leopard surfaces in Mummidivaram Mandal in East Godavari

The leopard which disappeared from Atreyapuram in the district a few days ago surfaced again on Thursday at Gedellanka village and surrounding areas in Mummidivaram Mandal in the district. According to information available, three persons sustained injuries in the attack by leopard on Thursday.

According to East Godavari DFO, Nandini Salaria the animal right now locked in a house in the area. All concerned reached the place. Nets have been put around the house to capture the animal, besides sending tranquilizers to make the animal unconscious. The Vizag zoo team which returned from  East Godavari two days ago are on their way back to capture the animal.
