Bengaluru: 28-year-old man tortured by two brothers

BENGALURU: On Friday a 28-year-old man was allegedly tortured by two brothers for writing a love letter to one of the girlfriend of the siblings.

Ramamurthy, who is a resident of Thirumenahalli village in the Kolar Mulbagal taluk, and his attackers, Devaraju and Sunil belonging to the neighbouring Tayaluru village, who were also his friends, Kadugodi police said.

Devaraju, was informed about the letter of Ramamurthy to his girlfriend and had taken the decision to take revenge, the police said.

On February 11 Devaraju promised to get Ramamurthy a job in Bengaluru and invited him to his house in Kannamangala, Whitefield.

They partied and after they both had consumed alcohol, Devaraju questioned Ramamurthy regarding the letter. Arguments complicated the issue which led the brothers to strangle him with a towel.
