Telangana: Two new districts Mulugu, Narayanpet comes into existence

 The two new districts Mulugu and Narayanpet have come into existence from today with the issue of a final notification from the Telangana government on Saturday. The state has now 33 districts with the addition of the two. 

Mulugu has been a part of Jayashankar Bhupalapally district while Narayanpet has been carved out from Mahabubnagar district. Mulugu will be having nine mandals -- Mulugu, Venkatapur, Govindraopet, Tadwai, Eturunagaram, Kannaigudam, Mangapet, Venkatapuram and Vajedu.

And Narayanpet emerged as a district with 12 mandals -- Damaragidda, Dhanwada, Kosgi, Krishna, Madduru, Maktal, Marikal, Narayanpet, Narwa and Utkuru.
