Security stepped up in Amaravati

Amaravati: With the elections fast approaching and in view of the recent terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, the AP police have intensified security in several sensitive places in the state.
They have begun frisking en route CM's residence, High Court and the residences of the ministers in Amaravati. They are also checking the vehicles passing through the area.
The security has been stepped up in view of the possibility of imposition of election code. The Central Home Ministry has issued a fiat to the State Government to increase the security in the sensitive areas.
